How Does This Thing Work?

Your Account

Create an Account:

Creating an account is quick and easy, just follow these simple steps:

1. Surf to the home page (here) and fill out the registration form on the right.
2. You will receive a confirmation link via email, click it to activate your account
3. As this is a closed system, your account will then need to be approved by a GameFilm.tv administrator. Once that happens you will receive an email confirming your status.

Change Your Avatar:

To create or change your avatar:

1. Hover over the menu item ‘MyAccount’, then hover over ‘Profile’ and select ‘Change Avatar’. (This is also located on your profile page in the submenu below your name)
   
2. Follow the on screen directions.

Change Password:

To change your password:

1. Hover over the menu item ‘MyAccount’, then select ‘Settings’
   
2. Follow the on screen directions.

Email Notification Settings:

You can manually override the default GameFilm.tv email notification settings.

1. Hover over the menu item ‘MyAccount’, then hover over ‘Settings’ and select ‘Notifications’
   
2. From the ‘Notifications Page’ you can choose ‘yes’ for each event you want email notifications for, and ‘no’ for those you don’t.
3. Click ‘Save’ when you are done.

Videos

Upload a New Video:

Videos are organized into albums. Albums can have as many or as few videos as you choose.

To create an entirely new album:

1. Click ‘Upload Video’ (Located in the top right corner of your profile page)
2. Choose ‘Create Album’ and select the type of album you wish to create.
3. On the following page upload however many videos you like.
4. Once the videos have been uploaded, click ‘Detailed View’ to edit the names and descriptions for each video.
5. Please note: once you choose ‘Create Album’ the album has been created. Therefore if you change your mind you will probably want to go to the primary video page and manually delete the new album.

 You can add videos to existing albums as well:

1. Go to the video page
2. Hover over the album you wish to use, and select ‘Manage Videos’.
3. From here you can add, delete, and change the information for specific videos within the album.

Connecting & Sharing

How To Find Other Coaches:

To find anyone else on the GameFilm.tv site simply click on the ‘Members’ tab in your profile page. From there you can search for other coaches by name. Once you find the coach you are looking for, you can add them as a friend to exchange information and share videos.

Sharing Videos & Sending Messages:

To share a video or send a message, follow these steps:

1. Click the ‘Messages’ tab in your profile page & select ‘Compose’
2. In the message field name the title of the video and the album it’s located in, or post the message you wish to share.
3. Click send message – your done!

Groups & Discussions

Overview:

Members can create and organize groups in order to share information to multiple people, or to discuss topics of interest. Every group has a forum associated with it, the forum is a list of topics which people whoa re members of the group can discuss.

Create a Group:

To create a group, follow these steps:

1. Select ‘Groups’ from the ‘My Account’ Menu
2. From the ‘Groups Page’ select ‘Create Group’ located in the sub menu below your name.
3. Follow the on screen directions for creating the group.

Create a New Discussion Topic:

Each group has an internal forum associated with it by default. To create a new discussion topic follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the group you want to start the discussion in and click the ‘Forum’ menu item.
2. From the group’s ‘Forum Page’ you can create a new discussion topic by completing the fields in the ‘Post a New Topic’ section.

Group Administration:

Groups can have multiple administrators. Administrators have full access to the group and can help moderate conversations, abuses, etc. To add or remove admins go to the ‘Manage Members’ section within the admin tab of the group home page. From there you can promote or demote members at your discretion. You must be an administrator to perform these actions.

Abuse & Management

Reporting Abuse:

While GameFilm.tv makes every effort to stop misuse of the site as quickly as possible, it is impossible to be aware of every incident without user-driven assistance. Therefore we strongly encourage all members to quickly report any form of abuse you see by using the ‘Report Abuse’ form, accessible through the link in the footer of every page. The form has the option to report anonymously should you choose to. We will protect your identity.
